Physics at FSK

Physics is a fundamental branch of science that seeks to understand the natural world and the fundamental principles that govern it. We are committed to providing students with a comprehensive education in the principles of physics, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep appreciation for the laws of the universe.

Objectives:

  • (a) Measurement and Instrumentation: Students learn to select and use appropriate instruments to carry out measurements in the physical environment, developing practical skills and techniques essential for scientific inquiry.
  • (b) Discovering Order: Through the study of physics, students acquire knowledge to discover and explain the order of the physical environment, uncovering the underlying principles and laws that govern natural phenomena.
  • (c) Conservation and Management: The acquired knowledge in physics empowers students to contribute to the conservation and management of the environment, understanding the interplay between physical processes and environmental sustainability.
  • (d) Scientific Device Construction: Students learn to apply the principles of physics and acquired skills to construct appropriate scientific devices from available resources, fostering creativity, innovation, and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
  • (e) Critical Thinking: Physics education develops students' capacity for critical thinking in solving problems in any situation, encouraging analytical reasoning, logical deduction, and systematic problem-solving approaches.
  • (f) Technological and Industrial Development: By contributing to the technological and industrial development of the nation, students recognize the practical applications of physics in various fields, from engineering to manufacturing and beyond.
  • (g) Promoting Health: Students appreciate and explain the role of physics in promoting health in society, understanding concepts such as medical imaging, radiation therapy, and biomechanics that have significant implications for healthcare.
  • (h) Safety Precautions: Observing general safety precautions in all aspects of life is emphasized, instilling in students a sense of responsibility and awareness regarding safety practices in laboratory and everyday settings.
  • (i) Integrity: Students acquire and demonstrate a sense of honesty and high integrity in all aspects of physics and life in general, recognizing the importance of ethical conduct and professionalism in scientific endeavors.
  • (j) Positive Attitude: Developing a positive attitude towards physics is cultivated through engaging and interactive learning experiences, inspiring curiosity, enthusiasm, and a lifelong love for the subject.
  • (k) Preparation for Further Education: Students acquire adequate knowledge in physics for further education, laying a solid foundation for future academic pursuits and careers in science, engineering, and technology.

We aim to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators to explore the wonders of the universe and make meaningful contributions to society.
