The Languages Department at FSK is dedicated to fostering proficiency in communication, linguistic fluency, and cultural appreciation among our students. Subjects Offered:

  • 1. English: As the global language of communication, English is a cornerstone of our curriculum. Through the study of English literature, language, and composition, students develop critical reading and writing skills, analytical thinking, and an appreciation for literary artistry.
  • 2. Kiswahili: Recognizing the importance of Kiswahili as a lingua franca in East Africa, our Kiswahili program emphasizes language proficiency, cultural understanding, and appreciation of Kiswahili literature and heritage.
  • 3. French: With a focus on language acquisition, French language instruction introduces students to the beauty and complexity of the French language and Francophone cultures, fostering linguistic diversity and global citizenship.

These may include language clubs i.e. English Club, Debating Club, Kiswahili Club, French Club and German Club. The Debating Club fosters students' public speaking and critical thinking skills through lively debates, with best speakers recognized and rewarded for their eloquence and persuasive arguments. Additionally, students participate in literary competitions such as the Writing Competition, showcasing their creative talents and linguistic skills through original works of fiction, poetry, and essay writing, with winners recognized for their literary prowess and creativity, inspiring a love for writing and storytelling.
