Parents & Community
At Friends School Kamusinga, we are proud of the strong partnerships we have forged with parents, alumni, the government, and corporate partners to create a supportive and enriching educational environment for our students. Together, we have worked tirelessly to improve school infrastructure, learning resources, and empower our local community.
Efforts in School Infrastructure Development
The collaborative efforts of the government, alumni, and parents have led to significant improvements in our school infrastructure. Noteworthy recent endeavors encompass collaborative initiatives to construct the Amina Block and the reconstruction of Jamhuri House.
Furthermore, the government's initiative to provide high-speed internet to the school in 2021 has revolutionized the way we teach and learn, opening up a world of opportunities for our students to engage in online research, collaborate on projects, and access educational resources like never before.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Safaricom Kenya for their generous donation of furniture and computers to our school a few years back. Their support has significantly enriched our learning environment and equipped our students with the tools they need to succeed in the digital age.
Alumni played a pivotal role in the construction of the school swimming pool, providing students with a valuable resource for physical education and recreational activities. Furthermore, their efforts in acquiring a 10-acre piece of land a few kilometers from the school have paved the way for expansion programs, ensuring that FSK continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our students and community.
Additionally, we are deeply grateful to Dr. Mailu, an esteemed old boy, who single-handedly constructed a house - Dr. Mailu House. His dedication and generosity have provided our students with additional residential facilities, further enhancing their living experience.
Sponsorship Initiatives
We are also fortunate to have the support of county governments, corporate partners, and NGOs who sponsor a number of students through school fees payment and the provision of personal effects. Initiatives by county governments, as well as support from corporations like Cooperative Bank, Equity Bank, and Safaricom, and several NGOs, have enabled several students to access quality education and essential resources that they may not have otherwise been able to afford.
Through these sponsorship initiatives, students are provided with the opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations and fulfill their potential, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are deeply appreciative of the generosity and commitment of our sponsors in investing in the future of our students and empowering them to achieve their dreams.
We are immensely proud of the collective efforts of our parents, alumni, the government, corporate partners, and students in contributing to the success and well-being of FSK. Together, we continue to strive for excellence in education and service to our community, shaping the leaders of tomorrow and making a positive impact on society.
