At Friends School Kamusinga, we believe in celebrating and recognizing the academic achievements and hard work of our students through our Academic Awards program. Designed to honor excellence in education and inspire a culture of academic excellence, the program encompasses various initiatives and ceremonies to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of our students at all levels.

Key Features of the Academic Awards Program:

• 1. CAT Series Assemblies: Following each Continuous Assessment Test (CAT) series, academic assemblies are organized to recognize the top-performing students in each class level. Students who have demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication to their studies are celebrated and rewarded for their achievements.
• 2. Top 10 Student Recognition: The top 10 students in each class level are awarded vouchers, redeemable for a range of school-related items, as a token of appreciation for their academic excellence and commitment to learning.
• 3. Subject Champions: In addition to individual achievements, subject champions are also acknowledged and rewarded for their outstanding performance in specific subject areas. These students serve as role models for their peers and exemplify excellence in their academic pursuits.
• 4. End-of-Term Rewards: At the conclusion of each term, the top three students in every class level are rewarded for their consistent academic performance and dedication. Rewards may include revision books, vouchers, stationery, and other educational resources to support their ongoing learning journey.
• 5. Stream Performance Recognition: Recognizing the importance of collaboration and teamwork, the top three performing streams in each class level are also honored for their collective achievements. • 7. Library Utilization Awards: To promote the importance of resource utilization and self-directed learning, students and classes that make exemplary use of the school library to enhance their academic performance are rewarded and celebrated for their proactive approach to learning.
